Senior Software Architect and Python Developer

Skills and interests: machine-learning, ai, backend, Iot, api-development, python, golang. I’ve been two decades in the software industry. Web, mobile, desktop, server-side and all sorts of apps. A developer, team lead, project manager and an architect. Built mining software in Australia, telecommunication tools in Europe, logistics systems in Asia and advertising platform in Africa. One evening in the late 1980s I began writing a C-64 tank game. I never stopped. I started working as a web developer during my MSc studies and upon graduation stepped up to team lead and project manager positions. Next, I relocated to Australia and became an independent software contractor. My clients included a mining technology company to whom we built a challenging underground positioning system in response to new safety regulations. I then joined a start-up as a CTO and started shifting the focus from hands-on implementation to architecting software. We built a content publishing system for the media industry but eventually had to bury the project. Huge learning experience. The next stop was Bangkok, Thailand where I started a software agency. I built it around my contracting clients and hired a small team of local developers. The most important things I learned: how to understand what the customers actually need, how to build it on time, in the budget and in such a way that it lasts its lifecycle.
